The JLC GG-1s made by Lionel in 2005 and 2006 (6-18354, 55, 56, and 6-18371, 72) were cataloged as requiring O-72 minimum curves. Does anyone know whether those engines will run on a layout with O-54 curves? Thanks for the help. John

jpnrc: While I don't own one of these models, I've seen enough replies to similar questions stating that this engine needs 0-72 as a bare minimum to operate correctly and that 0-72 better be laid correctly.....
They will NOT run on 0-54 to be sure.
We had this topic earlier this month. O-72 with great track work is the minimum. I had to redo some O-72 curves on my layout in order for it to run.

That answers my question guys! Thanks so much for the quick responses. John
Some of the units had issues with O72. The Pilot trucks would lift off into the turn.
There was a fix for these. Mine had a small burr in the stamp pilot that the pivot screw was catching on. I removed it and all was good.
