*REDUCED* Lionel Harry Potter Set For Sale 7-11020

Radioron- thanks for your opinion, however if you look at recently sold sets on eBay or anywhere, $500 with free shipping is on the much lower end of the going rate. In fact the same set sold on this forum for more just a few weeks ago. Best, Mike 

I agree. I can find Harry Potter sets from 250.00 to 400.00. Non LC Polar Express from 199.00. I believe the Hogwarst Express sold had been upgraded to TMCC. Hopefully the new one is LC +.

SUZUKOVICH - Just to clarify, a Non LC Polar Express for $199.00 IS the same amount I am asking for by $250 with FREE shipping. In regards to Hogwarts Express, the set that sold the other week was an original set NOT upgraded to TMCC and sold for $500 PLUS shipping. If you can find one for $250 all in I'd say great work  

I got with your price on the Polar Express. As for the Hogwarts I have seen them for sale in that price range. I believe they originally retailed around $400.00. I do remember one being listed for 500.00 but couldn't tell you if it was sold. EBay is a funny animal. You can't always consider a sold Price as gospel. If someone wants something bad enough they will pay. We all have done that at one time or another. Also it's tax time. Prices seem to increase this time of year as before Christmas. People pay what the market will bare. Timing is everything.

Lionel 11020 set on eBay completed sales with multiple bids shows $340 up to a high of $450.  Four pages of completed sales, so it may not be that rare.  However, I think the price for this set will ultimately be decided by the buyer and seller.

AUSSTEVE - That last line is true...This is actually my 2nd harry potter set I've put on "the market". This one is even less "used" then the first (both were never run, just displayed longer), and on an ebay auction I sold the first set a couple weeks ago for $460 plus $35 shipping (feel free to look it up)...I actually lost a good chunk on the shipping which ended up costing me $53. So asking $500 with free shipping I feel is a fair price!! 

I just saw a set on the bay under buy it now for just under 1000.00. And two on Amazon for 1100.00 and 1300.00 plus shipping.  Not a bad profit for a set that list for 399.00 plus shipping.

SUZUKOVICH - Yes! Like I said I stand by my price and feel it is very reasonable to a buyer interested in this set...regarding the original set "losing value" do to the new reissue, I've found that this isn't necessarily true. I have a century club II empire state express that I was worried might lose value when the new ESE set came out, but it shows no signs of being the case. My 2 cents

I'm amazed that people not interested in buying your items complain about the asking price.  Why should anyone care if it's too much or too little, it's a mystery?  Maybe they had nothing better to do, or maybe because it snowed today?
