Hello All -
Does Lionel make service manuals for how to put back together engines? - I have been working on one and am not worried about getting it back together, but would like to know if something is out there jut incase.
The engine in particular is the 6-28314 Genset UP Switcher.

All the service literature is on the Lionel.com website. There are exploded diagrams of many of the locos, along with part numbers.
FYI the last supplement is dated 2004,it's #47 so your loco may not be there...hope this helps....joe
There is a Genset Parts Breakdown, but it's too late to be in the product supplements.
Not a whole lot of details on the Legacy stuff around when it comes to service...

I frequently take pictures of more complicated stuff when I'm tearing it apart. The bonus is that I'm thinking about the process and I actually end up seldom needing the pictures, but I have the security of knowing I can refer to them if I have any questions.
