I was just looking at the Lionel shipping schedule and I found out it had been updated the 23 Feb 2015. The new berkshires were listed but only 3 were on the list. The C&O, the Nickel Plate Road and the Pere Marquette. The release date or shipping date was October 2015. The Polar Express is still dated to be shipped February 2015 remains the same.

As I noted in the "Webmaster's RANT" thread the other day, it's just too easy to overlook the sub-forum where these threads reside.  This one was started in the S-Scale sub-forum, so I'm thinking he must be referring to S-Gauge models -- not the O-Gauge models that were delivered late last year.

The more Lionel fills out the S-Gauge line-up, the more this becomes an issue.  It's even worse on eBay when sellers list pictures of something... you ALWAYS need to look closely at the SKU number.  6-4xxxx are S-gauge items.

S-gaugers like to post here too.  But there's a realization that most folks here "think" O-Gauge all the time.  And when there's nothing in the thread's title that indicates otherwise, folks are gonna assume it's an O-Gauge related post.

I'm not a big Facebook fan by any stretch of the imagination, so I never much cared for this forum software's attempts to mimic Facebook.     Personally, over in the RECENT POSTS index that lists recent thread activity, I'd rather see the icon of the sub-forum for that thread rather than the avatar of the forum member who started the thread.  That would be the perfect place to help folks "see" which sub-forum the thread resides before they click on it... and would eliminate a lot of this type of confusion.  I never click on a thread title because of its author, so the avatar in the RECENT POSTS index is completely useless (for me anyway).

Yeah... that must be it, Mark.  Your attention span is much more superior than mine.

I guess I prefer to think we're all HUMAN, and anything that can be done to design software that makes everyday tasks easier should be implemented accordingly.  But then again, I only scored 1180 on my SAT's in High School.   You must have been one of the guys who scored 1600.  So I'll defer to your superior comprehension skills.

Yes... that's somewhat of a stealth, phantom production run of the 6-11451 Black P/E due to the "confusion" surrounding Charlie Ro's big pre-order that went unfulfilled.   The ETA for that is early May.  Charlie's website had 6-14151 listed for awhile, but now it's removed again -- leading me to believe they're "sold out" of their pre-order allotment (again).  Whether other dealers are getting any of this shipment?  Only Lionel knows for sure.

But I don't think the OP was referring to anything O-Gauge here, since it was posted in the S-Gauge sub-forum.

New difficulties surface every day.  Life can be tough at times.

A good logical conclusion for sure.

The problem is caused by Lionel all right.  We need to ask Lionel to reduce the number of new products being produced.

it's due to not reading closely enough.

Aha.......a spark of light in the darkness.

Yeah... that must be it,

And an agreement.  Problem resolved.

I prefer to think we're all HUMAN,

Robots and Dr. Spock-type semi-aliens are not allowed on this forum.  This rule is in the fine print and rarely read.

At times I get carried away.  Sorry 'bout that.  Ed L.
