Hi all,

I am planning to build a large layout using 3-4 OLD ZW transformers and want to run conventional postwar with Odsssey engines. i have a chance to purchase TPC 300 units and a few SC 1 switch controllers.

A. What are the pro's and cons of using these not in production units?

B. What is a fair price to pay for each unit?

the TPC and SC1's are designed for use with Lionel tmcc. you really don't need them to run conventional only, but it is nice to use the TMCC cab 1 for wireless walk around throttle control. Do you have a tmcc cab1 and command base?

The SC-1's are good for a simple 'grounding only' accy. It doesn't work when you have a 3 wire function. I use them for my switch tracks, and maybe to operate something like a radar tower or beacon, which just have a 2 wire operation. Using the SC-1 to complete the ground.
