Happy New Year Everyone!

We continue to make updates to the site functionality and content.  One of the latest updates includes accessing the product manual(s) quickly from the product page.  The manual button will now return the results of the same product when the manual button at the bottom of the page is clicked.  Please continue to watch the site for exciting new announcements and updates.  We look forward to your feedback.

Thanks for the update and thanks for the continuous improvement.

Here's a list of website items I've collected.  If I had a vote I vote for fixing the printing issue.

  • Catalog listing for products is very generic. Sometimes lists year not specific catalog
  • Older catalogs (before 2010 have been removed)
  • Printing item pages does not work well. Page is overlaid with http links
  • All item URLs have changed. Any that were stored previously are no longer valid
  • Manual link no longer not always included in item pages
  • ‘Related items” are no longer included in item pages
  • Item feature icons look selectable but clinking on them has no effect. (e.g. Lights, Smoke Unit, Wireless Tether)
  • Lack of “Site Map” to easily find pages
  • Can not search by a partial item number.  Example, try searching for 6-8253, old site would find 6-82534, 6-82535, 6-82536 and 6-82537. New site finds none of them.

Thanks for continuing to listen!  While I think most of us realize not everyone's preferences can be addressed that fact that Lionel is willing to listen and take into account our concerns.  Happy New Year!

I went to the Lionel parts store last month looking to buy roller bearing caps. With no part number; I could only use roller bearing cap which drew a big zero using search feature. I did write Lionel and was told to call them. The caps are in stock under some unknown part number. Personally, I should be able to put in the boxcar number and open a  parts diagram...
