Does anyone have any information about expected delivery of this car? Catalog #6-27941 (old #3854). It had a write-up in the last issue of LCCA's The Lion Roars magazine (with a painted production car), and there's a YouTube video showing an unpainted sample car, but it doesn't appear on Lionel's shipping website.

That car has been out for a while now. I bought mine two months ago.

Mine has been on order from Hobby Station and they have not said anything about delivery. Delivery/shipping info has not appeared on Lionel's website, as I mentioned.
When did you get your car, and from what supplier? Thank you.
Hi
I bought mine from Charles Ro. In january. I noticed when Lionel ships an item, it is now removed from the list.

I had mine pre-ordered from Charles Ro and I received it before the end of last year. I know that there was a tread on the Hobby Station last week. I ordered an item from them last and it took me over a month to get my refund from them.
I also got mine from C-Ro - probably about 2 months ago
It is available on the Grzyboski website for 64.95

I got mine a good month and a half ago, after a pre-order with the Train Station that I made @ 11/5/12.
It is a very nice car.
Got mine from Charlie Ro also, right around the end of the year. There was a discussion and video here.

If you have or buy one, check the couplers. The coupler plate has weak springs and tends to sag downward. Make sure yours will stay closed in a train before you have it past the warranty exp. date.
I've had the brown door version since the end of December. They're a little wobbly on their trucks.
Jon
are the trucks held on by screws or the C clip?
The trucks are mounted with screws. My car was lop sided. I had to remove the car body and tighten the screws on the trucks. She sits straight now.
Pat
Since they are mounted with screws, just add a washer ( i forget what size) between the screw & truck. I did this on a bunch of my cc rolling stock that were wobbly on their trucks (mainly the auto loaders & cabooses) and they run great now
Grzyboski's doesn't have it, nor does C Ro. Called Hobby Station and after second call the phone was answered. They have record of my order and made their initial charge to my cc but said they never received their order from their distributor. Looks like I'm SOL.
Google Lionel 27941. You'll find a few out there.

Grzyboski's still lists it as In Stock on their web site:
