I bought this engine NIB even though it was made 10 years ago.  It had an anemic smoke output.  I took it to a Lionel shop to have the smoke unit give more output.  Output is now fine.  Plenty of smoke but it simply streams from the stacks.  What does it need to chug and puff?  I run it with a PW ZW and the Cab 1-L.

I've attached the instruction manual for the Super-Chuffer to this post, let me know if you have any other installation questions.  A nice touch with the Super-Chuffer is you can also add Rule-17 lighting and cab light control to give you poor-man's Legacy operation with the lights as well.  Of course, the primary reason for the Super-Chuffer is to improve the appearance of the smoke, that it does very well.
