Hi, fixing some clunkers up.

Digging through old boxes I see that I apparently bought some plastic cap type liquid elements for repairs a long time ago. I have been away from monkeying with trains for quite awhile but am getting back at it.

These elements  simply drop in place of the old top element. They have 2 hard wire leads coming out the top.
I assume I hook the old hot wire to one side and ground the other. The old unit being metal grounded within itself. So what's the best method of doing this? Just a short jumper to a screw or bend this new lead over the side and solder it to the unit's bottom housing? Or am I way out of wack on it all.

Tell me the truth, I'm a big boy. I can take it!

Thanks
