Today I got back a CD made from an old VCR tape. I had made in in 1988, using a friend's camera to take some videos of my layout.  I debated whether or not to post the link, but, it does have some humor despite the poor quality of VCR transfers, the off-colors, and it can be tedious at times. Maybe you don't want to watch the entire 30 minutes, but a few minutes will show you Lionel in 1988. There are some post-wars pieces, and lots of MPC. Some of these trains are still running today. The layout is long gone, as we moved from the house in 1989. There were two separate but connected mainlines, and insulated tracks were used to throw switches and create dead blocks so that 3 trains could be running simultaneously on the lower level, and two on the line that went up the trestles. There was a passenger station, still on my layout today, a freight yard, and lots of industrial sidings.  These were primarily used to store more trains. I had a lot of fun with the layout, but as I watch it now, I really appreciate TMCC and Legacy, not to mention the better sounds. And, my track work has gotten a bit better. Two phased ZW's provided the power.

Have a look if you like.       Lionel Trains, 1988.
