Apparently the Key people understand that the 3-Rail crowd is not about to plank down $2500 to $3000 EACH for those exquisite O-SCALE models. Personally, I would really like to own the CB&Q E5A and E5B unit pair, since those have not been offered in 3-Rail SACALE, even remotely correct.

Is that thing coming or going and I wouldn't call Walt "Zum" ... he may take it personally.
love those early slant nosed E units.

What a beautiful train!
Thanks for posting Erik. The whole scene is so realistic and really evokes some 'bygone memories'
I'm in!....to the love affair of sloped-nose early EMC/EMD products.
Over on another thread or two I've been relentless in encouraging Scott Mann to do the earliest of all of these...the B&O EA and the Santa Fe E1...
Just different and more stylish enough to set them apart from the later crowd.....lMHO.
It was the first engine to be graced with Leland Knickerbocker's iconic 'Warbonnet' scheme. And, the Beano EA with it's stainless steel banner medallion across the nose/headlight?....never to be used again?.....what's not to love?
I've entered my order (rhetorically speaking) for one, each, with Scott.
That I should be so lucky.....live so long...(sigh!)

Just saw this thread. I remember seeing an MTH PS2.0 Railking E6 A-A lightening stripe New York Central set in a catalog. I cut out the picture from the catalog. I was told the NYC railroad never had an E 6 for passenger service. SKU# 30-2834-1. And a B unit...SKU# 30-2834-3. Can't find one to purchase. I think Grand Central ltd. trains had one back in 2005? If MTH made these in PS 3.0 I would buy one. It has a great look with lightening stripes and silver trucks.
Love the E-6's best. Here's a short video of the MTH P-3 E-6. Love the start up sound that captures both both prime movers kicking in.

Perhaps there would be enough demand for Scott Mann to do a run after the PAs. I will bite, if he prepares them for 3 rail scale on request.

Don't forget the Rock Island Rocket.

Yes, E6 units would seem to be a logical choice considering Sunset/3rd Rail has done the E7 and will be doing E8/9 units, and there is commonality in the drive train and some body components. One issue I see is that PRR and NYC - two of the largest E unit sellers for Sunset - did not have E6 units.
Sorry. I prefer bulldog noses!

How about a CB&Q E5A and E5B, from Sunset/3rd Rail? Just my opinion but, the Burlington E5 units were the best looking "slant nose" EMC/EMD units of all, what with their total stainless steel fluted sides and all. Plus, they were the ONLY EB units the Burlington ever owned.
I do remember those slant nose E's. They were usually leading the Silver Star that I road to college and back (Raleigh and Jacksonville) in the late '60's. Seemed to always be aligned elephant style with two or thee E's. They were Seaboard's light green, shortly after the union of SAL and ACL (I believe).
And they capable of speeds at 100 mph (if geared right, and the E's pulling the Silver Star were)
