I saw a thread about a magnet car and it made me wonder. Could magnets be causing some of the glitches people post about with advanced systems?

You can erase or damage a hard drive by putting a magnet too close. I've not noticed any discussion about the possible damage to the newer systems.

I don't have anything but conventional yet, so just spitballing here.

None of the circuits that I'm aware of involved in model trains are affected by magnetic fields. This is a non-issue.
