Marx Transformer - Needs New Cord | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Hey There!

Was given a Marx Set similar to this one, mine has no track and bad cord on transformer.

Was wondering if it is possible to get the transformer apart and replace the cord. Not the end of the world if not, but thought it would be cool to keep the transformer with the set.

Look on the bottom and you will see tabs that can be partially straightened. The top can be removed and a new cord can be soldered into place.

Don't bend the tabs any farther than necessary.
