Those of you that like McCoy know they made lots of baggage, combine and passenger cars, but observations were not real common. I wanted to paint some of the very common blue coaches, but wanted an observation car. IF I had an original McCoy observation, I would not want to use it for a project donor. Pick up a 4 car McCoy set pretty cheap and a beater Lionel 338. Pulled the observation railing from the 338 and fitted it to one on the passenger cars to give me an observation. Took some Dremmel work and the railing needed to be bent outward a bit because the 338 was narrower. Pretty pleased with the look.
