Just mention McKeen motor car and I need to respond! I too had one reserved from MTH and then they cancelled. I'm equally tired of seeing the same re-releases using older tooling.

Come on MTH or Lionel and give us something new for a change.

How about producing the McKeen and trailer in O scale, or tinplate O, or standard gauge?

Not just the McKeen car has been ignored in three rail, but has been available

in HO or even pricey O scale brass, but Mack railbuses (which exist in G scale, too, no less!).  I have parts to scratchbuild a Mack rail bus, and a kit for a Mack double-ended switcher, when I get around to it, but it will be work, and many would buy any of these RTR, if they existed.  And there are all the gas electrics, small two truck Shays, Heislers, and Cimaxes, etc.  Postings on here say it has taken forever to get a commonly available scale model of a 44 ton diesel switcher.  Seems odd, when small and inexpensive makes sense for starter sets, possible cramped space, and small layouts, where much of the above would fit right in.  If RMT jumped on that, instead

of fantasy stuff, that would get my attention, and fill this giant sinkhole in the Interstate.
