The Menards hoppers are traditional size. They are smaller than scale. IMHO, The scale Pennsy engines would look better with scale hoppers. The Mountain, in particular is a large engine and would look much better with scale hoppers. The Decapod is smaller and the difference would not be as noticeable. The bottom line is what you like. I like running scale trains and would not pair premium engines with traditional rolling stock. If you like the looks of traditional hoppers and don't mine the mismatch in size, go for it. It's your world.

I recieved 16 hoppers yesterday and they look fine behind my premiere Mike and Consolidation. They are a pretty good size and a great deal considering your getting 16 for about the price of 6 MTH Premiere hoppers. I will post a pic or two once I get the mess sorted out in the train room. Gene

I hate to sound spoiled, but would Menards entertain plans for a Rock Island rolling stock fleet before I bid too much on this RS-3 Switcher ?
