I have seen them mentioned on here before but never really paid attention. I see diecast O Gauge rolling stock for $19.95. Where are they getting the tooling? Is it Kusan/Marx? And how can they offer them so cheap...when they are a profit making retailer?

Trucks are diecast. Frames are sheet metal, bodies are plastic. Size is traditional, or slightly larger if you're nit-pickly about roof heights being all the same.
(Tip:the real thing isn't).
The molds are Williams by Bachmann, the giveaway is the fishbelly girder/air tank casting under the middle.
Road numbers are unique to each and every model. Somehow part of the road number is printed in a method that allows really easy changes from model to model.

So Bachmann makes these for them? I thought the boxcar looked to be Kusan...the rib that the sliding door ends at is a giveaway as well.
I have 2 of their boxcars, very nice for the super low price.
Picture comparison of Menards NP and a Williams AT&SF, they are almost identical.
