Here are some photos from inside the Orange Hall at York that may answer some of the questions that have come up:

The Lionel 3D-printed pilot models of 86' boxcars, one with 8 doors (2015 production) and one with 4 doors:

The Bachmann EZ-streets turnouts.  At the OGR Forum meeting in the grandstand today at York, Larry Harrington did clarify that the color will be changed to match existing Bachmann EZ-streets products:

And finally, a view of the connector on Bachmann's new 3-rail O Scale EZ-track system.  Note that the center rail power connection is integrated into the plastic tab so pins are only used on the outside rails.  Pins are always on the right side as you face the end of the track section so there is no need to take out or add pins except for electrical insulation purposes:

Some comments on 2 interesting points in the Lionel presentation on LionChief Plus engines:

1. Dual motors on the diesels! If that is true, it is good news. Everything that has been posted so far, including listings in the just released catalogs, has shown the RS-3 and GP7 diesels with a single motor. I've posted a few times that I thought it was a big mistake to have "next step up" diesels with a single motor. Hopefully Lionel has reconsidered and is going with the dual motor diesels.

2. LionChief Plus 0-8-0! It sounds like Lionel is going to expand the engine types for the LionChief Plus engines. From what I have read so far, it seems like the just released LionChief Plus Hudson, Pacific and Mikado have good power. I'm wondering if the new 0-8-0 is going to be the same as the starter set 0-8-0 with new electronics, or if if is going to be beefed up such as having a larger motor like in the Legacy 0-8-0 locomotives?

In his original post. PGentieu mentioned a LC+ "Frosty the Snowman" set. I watched the Lionel segment of the TCA presentation, and it is only mentioned that it is going to be a LionChief set. Unless PGentieu heard it someplace else, I'm thinking this is just going to be a LionChief set similar to some of the other 0-8-0 LionChief sets produced by Lionel. The set does have some nice "Frosty the Snowman" graphics and looks like a neat entry level Christmas set.

RJR, I hope you are right that MTH might FINALLY offer a scale 44 tonner with PS3 next year.  I watched the YouTube video of Mike Wolf giving his presentation over at the TCA museum and he did mention that they have shrunk the Command boards small enough to fit into a smaller motorized unit.  If they are offering HO stuff with PS3, then they should be able to offer 44 tonners, track speeders, and the like with PS3.

As as I have said for some time now, if they offer the 44 tonners in B&M/MEC/Portland Terminal black with the red stripes, I am in for at least a pair.  If they offer it the later B&M blue, I'll be in for one of those, too.

Thank you for the correction.  My mistake.  I have corrected the original post.

FEC Guy - the WBB Front Runner intermodal car has two four-wheel trucks.  I'm not sure what the wheel arrangement is in your photo but it looks like it might be just two-wheel trucks.  So the WBB model has the spine and the "platforms" for the wheels of the trailer supported by standard four-wheel trucks at each end.  The brochure says the model is based on the lightweight Front Runner Intermodal Car produced by TTX beginning in 1984.  The model has a collapsible fifth wheel and will operate on 042 diameter curves and up.

This car is a copy of the K-line "front Runner" Good to see that WBB is using the better trailer dolly wheels. Bad to see they are using roll-up doors since TOFC equipement due to rigidity and strength  reasons should have swing out doors instead. IF you can obtain the K-line TTAX articulated pieces, those"front runners" can be easily made into a prorotypical 5 unit TTAX set.
