That coupler and thumb tack pin sure look like O 3R....

It looks like standard couplers, so some electrocouplers should be possible.  I want it all, couplers, cruise, and sound.

Decided to go ahead and order one. It's just too nice not to have. I'm a sucker for "cute" little switch engines.

Thanks. Hmmm...that would look neat in Lionel colors.  I already have a BIG Lionel 44-tonner that came in blue, lettered for Lionel Lines.  I may have to make his little brother to match.

Cool Steve, I'm already in the queue for a PRR one.

They sure are cute little buggers. The new WbB sound system is another plus. With it having two can motors w/flywheels and no doubt rubber tires, it should be a stump puller for sure.

I could go for a Lionel Lines as Alan suggested. Let's see what it looks like when Keith works his magic. Even though I'm a tinplate kind of guy. The temptation is so very strong .

Are they going to market an undecorated version? I'm interested enough that I'd consider doing a paint job, but not interested enough to bother stripping paint. 

Just received an email from Mr. Muffin's saying the engine is in.  I will check their web site later to see the status.

The On30 center cab, perhaps, because it is shipping, but almost certainly not the Williams by Bachmann version.

The email says my order will be shipped as soon as payment received.  Checked my order and it's the 44 Ton Diesel, WB23101, PRR, $225. 

I'll call them a little later and see what is going on.

Just got a note back from Steve, the Williams 44 Toner locomotives are NOT in.

Sorry for the confusion, but on our site if we have it in stock, the listing has an icon that says "In Stock!"  The email receipt when you purchase and use check as the payment says we will ship as soon as payment is received giving one the illusion that we have it. 

No, WBB hasn't offered an un decorated version. We asked for them, but no response. I am planning to repaint one to represent the engine that was up at Purdue shuttling coal cars back and forth when I was in school there. 

I got a very nice email from Steve explaining the issue (see above post).  A quick response.  Thanks.

Hi John, I was thinking of the DCS kit, the real estate is a little less demanding.  There looks to be a center pit between the fuel tanks that would be perfect home for a speaker. In any case great minds think alike!

I want one with TMCC, so for me the Cruise Commander Lite seems a natural fit.

Gunrunnerjohn, Both the inspection cars and speeders have TMCC. I would think that the 44 Ton has a larger interior capacity than either of those units. You would know a lot better than me about space requirements. 

Paul, the difference is that those other products are not meant to pull anything and they have very small boards with pretty anemic drivers.  While I'm not going to be pulling 50 car consists around with the 44 Toner, I would like it to handle 4-5 cars without an issue.
