MTH Diesel & Freight Runs/Reruns

I think it's likely the tooling will be re-used until it is no longer useable. When and whether they will make your desired road names and color schemes is anyone's guess. Not sure if emailing or calling MTH would get you any information?

Pretty sure most if not all the major manufacturers read the OGR forum, some participate and some just monitor, but they are here.

IT's all based on Demand for MTH. MTH just recenty reran the "Bernie Levin" PRR E8's with Ps3. IF you have many that want your paint scheme, I can't see why MTH would not fulfill demand for their product.

Sometimes they re-run variants. For example, they ran a scale-wheeled ATSF GP35 with PS3 in yellow/blue warbonnet. They re-ran the GP35 with scale wheels PS3 in the "bookend" scheme.

They've re-run the UP Heritage and the UP Bush '41 SD70ACe's with PS3. As "Curve" said, it's probably based on popularity.

Still waiting on a rerun of the rapid-discharge hoppers in the Amtrak MOW scheme. The six-car sets from a few years ago are just plain gone from the primary and secondary markets--you don't even see them on Ebay

(and as soon as I mention this they'll show up in the next catalog :rolleyes

I'm waiting for a rerun of the USRA Light Mikado. They've done them in 3/2 but with PS2. The next rerun will have PS3. I had a 3 rail version from the first or second run which was a straight 3 rail engine. I sold it and put the money aside for the PS3 version. I'm hoping it will be in this new catalog or Octobers catalog.

I agree with RailRide, not all MTH products but many MTH products in recent years were made in what I assume were smaller quantities and you just don't see them that often on the secondary market. Especially the 2 rail stuff or more appropriately the scale wheeled stuff.
