So, I've owned the MTH emblazoned ES44 for over a year now - since new - and only tonight discoverd a new functioning detail feature on it. All I can say is - what a pleasant surprise! The detail level is generally very high, but this was totally unexpected. See photos and see if you had noticed this feature or if it comes as a surprise to you too. I tried to get some good shots but the angle made it difficult.

Nice pictures. A buddy of mine got this back in December and late last month talked me into buying one also. I don't have it in hand yet, but looking forward to it arriving. Very sharp looking engine.

I think he discovered the cab doors open. I can't recall if the nose door opens as well on the ES44's.
It is the WINDSHIELD WIPERS! They are also present on my opening doors on my Proto 3.0 AC4400 #138.
It is a great looking loco with terrific detail, for the club price one heck of a good deal.

Great looking engine. How many ES44s did MTH make with charging lights? I thought there was 3, original hybrid, the MTH one above and a GE Demo..
