I believe I have an MTH Premier 20-5515 Bicentennial GG-1 Conrail road #4800 produced in 2002. I cannot find any other MTH premier Bicentennial Conrail 4800 GG-1's. My GG-1 is proto 2.0. The catalogue says the loco should have operating pantographs but my GG-1 has the old style manual pantographs. Is my loco correct?

The pantagraph works when you pull it up, Is this the traditional size one???

That GG-1 was from one of the Dealer Appreciation flyers from quite a few years ago. No one had operating pantographs during that time including MTH.

In MTH terms the GG1 "operating pantograph" is manual. The "Remotely Controlled Operating Pantographs" are operated through DCS.

Don't feel bad. I had a Milwaukee "Little Joe" that the instructions stated it had operating pantagraphs. I tried everything to get them to operate... Then I took it apart and found out they were manual.

I love all GG1's . I think when this loco came out they were starting with the 5 volt flashed boards that operated Pantographs remote when the loco went into direction along with smoke.
The first PS2 with the 5 volt board did not have operating pans. I have 2 of them. The rest of the PS-2 with 5 volt boards did have operating pans.
Your loco is correct.
Marty You are right I have a couple with operating pants also along with the ones that didnt have operating pants that were 5 volt.
The operating pans showed up in 5 volt. Early 5 volt did not have them. Later 5 volt did. I have many.
At that time operating pantographs meant that they could be wired to operate off of catenary. I had an FF1 marked the same way and found out they were only meant to operate off of catenary
