Re: MTH Z-1000 Brick to power Legacy layout

Hi folks, can I use the Power Brick from an MTH Z-1000 Transformer instead of a transformer?

We already do this for MTH DCS, i.e. forgo the Transformer and just use the brick, but was wondering if I could do the same with Legacy.

You can use the brick, just make sure it's one of the more recent ones. Some of the older bricks put out excessive voltage for TMCC/Legacy. TMCC/Legacy locomotives don't like to see more than 19 volts on the track.
