Ladies & Gentlemen,

Being new to Legacy the more I read the more questions I am having.  I want to run my 1st level with both Legacy & DCS, however I want to use my 2nd level as a Legacy Controlled situation only.  Both levels will have FT Command Control switches.  I am planning to use my Z4K to power the 1st level, and an old ZW to power my 2nd Level Legacy only tracks.  Can I split the Legacy signal wire to run both levels at the same time, and be able to run Legacy & DCS along with Conventional engines on the 1st level with the DCS handheld remote control, and use the Legacy Cab2 and Legacy Powermater to run Legacy & Conventional engines on the 2nd level.  Can I use an MTH terminal block to split the wire coming off the back of the Legacy Base unit, to run

both track levels, and be able to use both the Legacy & DCS hand held remote controls at the same time.  Or will splitting the Legacy base wire for 2 different track levels cause signal problems with the legacy.

We can run conventional, Legacy/TMCC, and DCS all at the same time with the Cab 1/2 and DCS remotes on our layout with no toggles.

Just remember that to run conventional, the engine(s) has to be a conventional engine... meaning no TMCC/Legacy on board. Otherwise, if you are putting out a Legacy signal, your Legacy engines will see it and not run in conventional mode.

My overhead loop is on the 2nd story in the gameroom. If I take a Legacy engine out to my garage, it will NOT run on my test stand in conventional unless I go upstairs and unplug the TMCC/Legacy base.

Laidoffsick,

Thanks for explaining about the Conventional and Legacy over lap control issue.

So what you are telling me is that it is almost impossible, to run Legacy controlled engines and my old Conventional engines on the same track, at the same time, the way I do my P2 & Conventional engines, but I will be able to run legacy engines & DCS P2

engines on the same track with the 2 different type remote controls, now that will be seriously cool remote control.
