My First Impression of York

Sounds a great relaxing time. O gauge overload. I have to make the trip, maybe this year.

Greg, you arrived Thursday about the same time I did.  We must've been on the same flight! (if you flew)

Thursday for me was just sensory overload. I felt I had to cover the entire Orange Hall in the hour or so I had left in the day. (yeah, went back Friday just to make sure I covered it all...)  Dealers were great. Many of them in the Brown / Purple Halls were just begging you to make them a low-ball offer. You could tell they just wanted to move product.

Greg, Can anyone show up and get in to the show ?  I'm not a member of any train club.

I'm a newbie to York John, but I was told that anyone can attend the first time as a guest without TCA Membership ONCE, after that you have to join to attend future meets. And as for my service, you are welcome, I miss the military, kinda wish I could go back, but now that I'm here - I can enjoy civilian life with the family and my rekindled hobby - TRAINS.  MARSHELANGELO

GREG, I'm kind of new to web-site here. Also you could go on to face book and see my Layout in florida. Right now I'm up in New Jersey visiting my son. My layout all about NYC Subway Cars becaue I grow up in New York City. I also have a line of Subway Signals on Intregrated Signal System.com  It's my freind Tim Web-site. He does Railroad type Signals. My layout in Florida is 8 ft wide and 24 ft long.

Greg now that you walked the York show you will find that if you return in October where to start. I always start in the Red hall, I found that the member halls have some of the best assortment of trains and train related items. I'm glad you had a good tome and hope to see you back in October. 

After you have had a chance to let this experience settle in, it won't be long before you will be making plans for the October York Meet. This meet is infectious.

Glad you had a good time. Sorry I did not get a chance to meet you, but we were there. We did get to meet many Forum members though.

It was nice meeting you also Andre and thanks for the info on laser cutting machines, it was very informative and helped me make a good decision while there at York with you guys.  Once I have my layout up and running I will get with you on the buildings that I need.  It's good to know that you are a specialist.  Thanks and I'll talk to you soon.  And to everyone else the show was fun and I had a great time and yes now I know where to start at the next show. 

P.S  Hey John, I'm gonna check out your website soon, I have two Lionel subway cars and will definitely look at your setup for some tips and tricks because I have an interesting track scheme for my subway cars in the planning stage and could use all of the tips I can get.  Thanks
