Remember, Weaver did the I-5 a few times.  The last issue had TAS boards as well as the TAS smoke unit.  The chuff rate could be changed to whatever you wanted.  You were not stuck with the TMCC 2 chuffs.  I have that model and it is a keeper.  Going back in time, I grew up in a family with many RR employees.  I can remember the real  I-5 roaring through Dedham (my town) headed to New Haven.  Great memory of a great locomotive.  

 

I did a DCS conversion on an early Weaver I-5 and it is a nice item.
