Various posts have recommended rewiring Williams GG-1 motors in series to improve their slow speed operation and eliminate jack-rabbit starts. What about the motors in K-Line, RMT and O-LR GG-1's? Will rewiring their motors in series improve their slow speed imperformance?

Also, what should be done if at a later time you add ERR's tmcc to Williams scale GG-1's that had their motors rewired in series? Should those motors be wired back to their original factory wiring mode?

You can wire the motors of any dual-motored locomotive in series for conventional operation, many times it will help the low speed running.  I have noticed some that it adversely affects the pulling power too much to be practical, so YMMV.

You do NOT want the motors wired in series for ERR cruise control, that won't do anything good, and confuses the back-EMF cruise algorithm.
