Inadvertently pushed e-stop button on remote. Reset TIU, reset remote, added engine. Results some functionality but not all. Most critically unable to set any sequence under directional control, f/r, r/f, f/f etc. nothing - when i try to select nothing happens- the selection does not highlight. As a result (I guess) thumb wheel has no functionality re speed. SMPH does not even show. Other stuff, start-up, shut down, volume etc ok

Did you remove power from both aux and fixed 1 and wait several seconds?
You have to completely power down the TIU & remote (including the aux power supply if using)
Power up again & you should be good to go.
PS you don't have to reset or add again just cycle tiu & remote power

What are you saying exactly by added engine? It seems you're saying that after the event, you tried to add a new engine to the remote, correct?
If a new engine didn't add fully, I would delete it and then re-add it. Make sure the DCS signal is strong where you add the engine on the layout. Remove other stuff that might effect the signal.
This new engine might be scrambled. Try running it in conventional without the TIU signal to the track.
