Been poking around the Lionel replacement parts to no avail. I see that there are some smoke motors available but I can't seem to get a breakdown of the 620-8265-200 smoke unit in my GP-7.
Anyone know if this motor is available and what the part number is?
Yes, I am sure it is the motor. The motor has a "flat spot," if it stops in a certain position it won't start, but if I give it a nudge it takes off. Probably an open armature winding, but I don't want to dissect the motor except as a last resort.
