Need Manual Info for GG-1 6-18326 from PWC Congressional Set

If I remember right this set did not have sound with it. Lionel did offer a sound add on car that I think went for around $250.00.

As for the manual, have you tried the Lionel web site.

OK; a bit embarrassed.  On my desktop PC, I'd type the set part number and the engine part number. Both numbers came up with zero hits.  So I just typed GG-1 TMCC. Still no hits.  GG-1, and it shows a different set (The Majestic) that has a TMCC engine. But when I hit search, it says zero results.

Then, after seeing grampstrains suggestion while out to dinner, I tried it on my iPhone. Same thing, came up with the Majestic set, but this time it had options for either the engine manual or set manual.  Copied the URL to a spot where I could see it, tried it on the PC, and it came right up.

Why Mozilla FireFox couldn't find a search result, but the iPhone could, is beyond me....

Thanks for the suggestions. Thought I was going nuts where lionel or lionelsupport could not find a bloody GG-1 manual!

Just went down and put mine on the track in conventional and it has Railsounds. If you put the switch on the bottom to full instead of sig. it should work. The number on the front of the manual is 71-8326-250  the set was made in June 2000.  The sound car is the dinner for that set

Signal Sounds, usually marked SS on the switch, gives you horn and bell.  Full, or RailSounds, gives you the entire sound package.  The silent GG1, the first with TMCC, was previous to the issue of PWC offerings.  6-18308 IIRC.
