I have a Lionel non powered  B unit from 2002. Two of the port holes fell in which would be no big deal if I could get the body off. I removed the six body screws but the body still will not come off.

you guys were right, the shell was stuck to the frame, after some prodding with a thin piece of wood the shell popped right off.

Thank you to everyone who responded and helping me out.

Paint!!!

Ive had similar instances where I removed all the screws

only to find out that the shell was installed at the factory with wet

paint and the shell stuck to the frame. some careful prying

with flat head screw drivers, pushing and pulling finally let the shell

"POP" off. it was a struggle, but they come off eventually.

Dave,

The reason I mentioned clear plastic clips is that I needed to change a blown lamp in a caboose made around 2002 and the interior windows were all of a clear plastic shell, which fits into the shell of the cab body.

The bottom of the window shell have clips that secure onto the cab frame, causing one to utilize extreme care, when removing body shell and window shell!
