Welcome, Fred,

You are only about 1:10 from the mothership in Concord, NC located in the speedway complex.

I am not sure what a visit to the official Lionel store would do to help you. It would at least let you see the new stuff going on.

You can still run your trains and get more track and such. Parts and repairs are no problem.

Why not put your stuff up on the floor and see what works and what doesn't work?

You can see a lot of great layouts here and on the web.

I am from South Jersey, so I can't help with a visit. I have been to Sonny's Barbecue in Rock Hill and visit Surfside Beach as much as I can. There are 58 forum members from SC. I hope someone reaches out to you.

Have fun!

Don't give up, Fred. Looks like folks either didn't see your post, or didn't understand the subject based upon the Title.

On the blue bar above, click on "Search". Then on the left side you'll see "Members". On the top right, you'll see "Advanced Search". I typed in "South Carolina" in the keyword field. Looks like there's a bunch of great guys in S.C. I suggest that you add the city to your profile. You may also want to edit your thread title to "New and need help in XXX, South Carolina.

Another option, if you have questions regarding your Command Control system you can ask them here. This forum is a pretty good "Brain Trust"

Welcome to the OGR Forum. Look forward to seeing you around. I hope you get the help you need.

here's his profile, shoot him an email. It's in his profile to keep it secure from the outside world. You need to be signed in to see it.

Mike w is in Easley, looks like an hour drive. here's his profile.

I still recommend the ride to Concord, NC to Lionel headquarters. Heck, the folks in the company store, may give you a tour. You'll definitely be able see and touch and play with a lot of the new equipment.
