The basics are I have a 6 x 10 platform on which I will add a 4 x 8 upper level. I have a mix of Fastrack and (RMT/K-Line) Snap Track. Power is conventional/DCS/Lionchief(+). I cobbled together a simple loop with passing track. Put the LC+ RS-3 pulling boxcars on one siding and a Railking Pacific with a couple of small heavyweights and realized, man these trains are big and the space is small. Watching them run in circles is Ok for a bit, but some kind of operation would be nice.

Thinking small yard and station on the main level then climb up to second level, put a small town up there with a passenger and freight drops. One track up and back so a reversing loop up top, maybe a loop so I can keep one running while playing with another. Ideally have 2 running unattended while working the yard or 1 running with a way freight.

Huh, just spelling it out helped.

Just looking for ideas on how to make it interesting in such a restricted space so I don't get bored so quickly.
