The shop that I go to has MTH premier 20th century limited passenger cars in stock (both 1938 and 1940). I have the 1938 passenger set from MTH and really like it. Great sounds and great looks. If you're willing to go for an MTH premier locomotive, they also have one available as well.

Unfortunately I have no interest in the MTH Dreyfuss. Since my DCS system went belly up I have decided to buy exclusively Lionel locomotives. In fact I already have a PS2 MTH Dreyfuss that I am looking to get rid of. That being said thank you for the link and if you (or anyone) could tell me how those cars match in color to the Lionel 6-28084 Dreyfuss that would be much appreciated. That's the version I'm looking for so if the color is a match I'll pull the trigger on those cars. Thanks man.

PS: I'm amending my request for the Dreyfuss Hudson I'm looking to buy. If anyone has a Sunset 3rd Rail Brass Dreyfuss (with TMCC) that they are looking to unload I would be more than willing to buy that engine instead of the Lionel Dreyfuss.

My old TIU fried this year after 12 years of solid use. I have a large investment in MTH, so I don't plan to switch any time soon. I can't comment on the matching of the cars to the train, but you may be able to ask the shop if you're interested in the cars. They are very helpful and do carry Lionel as well! What happened to your DCS system?

The TIU somehow fried randomly and I just don't have enough MTH equipment to justify buying another one. Not to mention I also am coming to realize that I prefer Lionel.

Hello Don, I am sorry that I didn't see that until now.
