My 12 year old son comes home tells me he saw a NYC observation car down the road. Of cause I doubt his story but he tells me he took a picture on his phone.

A rare moment captured. I would venture a guess the car may be an ex- private car or just a good condition observation car being transported to a museum.
One thing that you can be certain of is that the trucks and brakes are all in good working order.
Too bad I can't zoom enough and get the car number. Can your son get that detail on his phone?
What's pulling it? A scheduled Amtrak train?
Looks like it says "NYC 1" above the name on the car side. Unfortunately, the hanging cable is blocking the view of the car's name.
