Alex,
Now that is way cool, no doubt about it. Maybe I should have Guns install the Super Chuffer in my original 249 Tin Plate Engine for me. I think however I will give him a break, he is about ready for the rubber room, with all the other stuff that has happened with the ERR up grading, on this particular old Tin Plate engine!

Alex,
Looks like you raised another one from the dead! How bad of a shape was the engine in before you worked on it?
I may be bringing one to York for you to work on.
Thanks,
Richard
Certainly looks and sounds great now!!
Alex, are you ready for a laugh? I just did the exact same locomotive! Installed the CC-M, the Super-Chuffer, and the Chuff-Generator. It was the one I posted the smoke unit upgrade on. Talk about a small world!
You may get to see it run on Saturday, Eliot will be there to pick it up.
Looks great. I did the same upgrade to the same engine a month or so ago with the guidance of John and couldn't be happier. Great products and great results!
Nice work Alex. As usual you have made a vast improvement to a Lionel Class A Locomotive.
I was real close to purchasing one but could not get over the dated sound system. Wish ERR had an upgrade-able sound system with that great N&W hooter whistle.
Looking good!!! That is some serious smoke.

I don't know - that whistle on the video sounds pretty neat.
The whistle is great on that model, no need for an "upgrade". If you want that whistle, just order the board and pair it with the Lionel Powered RS Motherboard.
You da MAN, ALEX!!!! WOW looks like your layout too is coming around. Hope you have a good OPEN HOUSE. Keep up the good work.
Looks great, Alex! I installed GRJ's Super Chuffer (with lots of help from John) in my Lionmaster Class A earlier this year and am totally happy with the results!
Looking cool as usual Alex! Great work!
Beautiful, Alex!
Peter
Wonderful job Alex!

Hey Alex,
Good looking parents equals good looking children as depicted in your new forum Pic. Very handsome family you have there. But the real question is, are you daughters model railroaders?

Well! I am probably in the minority here, but I think the sounds that Lionel put in their higher end engines from about 2000 to 2006 are far superior to most of what is being offered today (unless you are talking about Vision line products). I have had this engine since it was released and it is still one of my favorite whistles. I have pretty much quit buying newer steam engines because they all sound the SAME. Very few of Lionel newer engines offer the depth of sound found in those older engines.
Nice smoke output Alex.
Happy railroading,
Don
