I am creating an N gauge amusement park ride for our O gauge carnival.  I have done alot of google searches for O scale/gauge children in sitting position that would ride in the cars.  So far - zilch (children posed playing or standing).  Wonder if HO sitting adult figures might be passable "children"?  Don't want to buy whole sets just to get one figure.

Suggestions?

Thank you Rex!!  Placed a bid and hope to get them

Well didn't get it them. Some !@#$%^&*() outbid me at last second. Lesson learned, if you really want something make an outlandish bid ie bid $10k for a 10 cent item

SURELY someone in the modeling world makes sitting children figures, tons of o gauge adult figures doing all kinds of actions but sitting children to ride in a train, nada.   We can buy the most arcane detail stuff to customize cars and locos but no manufacturer in the world seems to cater to sitting little figures or its wrong scales.

Well, finally got the amusement ride completed.  Used the Kato unitrak system and works great!.  We bought some N gauge coal cars with old style couplers, then added three seats per car and painted them in bright gaudy colors.  Used the seated people figures we had for passengers (still on lookout for the seated boys and girls set).  Cars tended to be top heavy and tip over on curves, so weighted cars with steel BB shot that very nicely rolled into car dump chutes and secured in place with Elmers white glue.  Had one figure with out stretched arms so he became the engine driver.  Painted a black square on cab rear, sliced guy at waist and glued in place so looks as if arms resting on cab sides.

Hi RRMan,

I'm coming a "little late to the party" but for future reference, I can recommend the RailKing 12-piece figure set #2, 30-11029.  The figures are more like S scale and it does include a (only) couple of seated children. But there are adults, too, that are small enough to pass for children.  And they are so well behaved, too.  If you can find them, K-Line 0-scale has some small seated figures. They are smaller than the standing figures but bigger than the MTH ones, and so could possibly pass for older children/teenagers.

I was planning on doing something similar one day with my N scale train to commemorate a park train that I rode as a kid.  It's nice to see that you made such great progress with your project.
