Richard:  Thanx, again for your info.  You are "da man" when it comes to knowledge and research on these 20th century cars.

I actually think that some of those Canadian versions were better looking than their USA made counterparts.  Cases in point:  Really like the side treatment on that '55 Monarch.  I always thought that the trim lines on the Merc had no relationship to the shape of the car itself.  Also the Meteor;  Front end has more character than the Mercury has.

Be kinda neat to have a few of those Canuck cars in model, interspersed with the USA cars.  For me, however, they'd have to be 1950 or earlier and I would imagine that models of those would be pretty scarce.

I had not either heard of Sylvan, but they seem to make Cleveland area shows, such

as the one on today and yesterday, and the NMRA one about a year ago when I

first discovered them.  They are Canadian and have all the pre-WWII models of

Chevrolets, which never seem to appear in 1/43rd and various other GM and other

makes.  These are in resin, I think, but, only in HO, although I spoke to them at the

NMRA one about doing them in O/1/43rd, with little hope it would really happen.

I think I then did pull them up on the web.
