A lot of you have been asking when I was going to start taking videos of the layout.  Well...I have just been trying to get a few more things done on the layout before taking video plus I really hadn't tried to do one up to this point because I wasn't sure how to do it!  First, this video is more of an animated slide show but I will be making a walk around video next...then perhaps once I get my Go-Pro camera I'll do a trip on the layout.  Anyway, this attempt is not all that good but one thing for sure, I can look forward to a lot of improvement and encouragement from all of you.  The quality is basic Movie Maker and I haven't gone the YouTube route yet but it will happen....  This video is a little more than 3 minutes long and is just an overview of pictures never seen before that I took late yesterday plus some recent and past pictures posted here.

Sure hope you enjoy!

Thanks for taking the time to look and comment...

Alan

Just in time for Christmas.......What I have been bugging you for two years or more about a video.  When I saw the thread's title, I had trouble containing my excitement.

Great job, Alan!

I had my hopes on a motion video of trains running, but a slideshow with music is heading in the right direction.     A GoPro is what I want too, but almost of our smart phones and most of our digital cameras have excellent video cameras built-in.

Oh, a warning making videos can be addictive.

WOW!!     I don't know what else to say!!

Your city scenes are truly inspirational like Marty said.

Is the single track green el structure the stuff from old Fusco and Steel Toys that you just received from Brian I think??  It never looked better!!

Please post more...as for the music...do you take requests??

Looks great. When can we expect a full coverage spread on this layout in our favorite O gauge magazine? It would make a great article for OGR. Looking forward to the walk around/ride around videos coming soon. As others have said, most all digital cameras these days take good videos too.

P.S. Better hurry up with that OGR article before that 'Ad Man' fellow fills the entire magazine with new advertisers, or else Rich may have to expand to 200 pages per issue (which would be fine with me, I might ad {possible pun intended}).

Thanks,

Alan - I don't want to be guilty of piling on, but you are really getting our hopes up that we will see an operations video of your fabulous layout.
