Having more than one hobby my year gets a bit split up. Warm weather for me means working on and driving the Corvette, cool weather means getting ready for the Holidays and trains.

When I departed this spring the VL Big Boy was the main topic. Surfing the last week or so I've seen GRJ's Super-Chuffer, now I need a TMCC steam loco to try it but I've seen little else as far a big news.

What am I missing?

Did Lionel ever deliver the Texas Special passenger set?

Thanks guys!

The N&W 611 J restoration is going well. The N&W Y6a 2156 on loan from St Louis is in the process of being moved to Roanoke.

Gilly

Thanks Gilly! I was at York about a year and 1/2 ago as I was able to work my schedule around it. Meeting people and socializing was the highlight for me. Ended up bringing a few hoppers home. At 700+ plus miles for me I can actually buy something nice based on the expense of getting to and staying at York. For a train enthusiast everyone has to attend once! I'm certainly glad I did.

Thanks Nick! You did forget, "What beverage do you enjoy when running your trains!" All forums are alike though, people coming and going every day and some of those simple questions being asked over and over. I'm happy to see we haven't lost anyone, but my wish list was lengthier!
