Hi all - new to this forum, relatively new to this hobby.  I've had an MTH RTR set for about 4 years, bought it off a guy who got it from a friend who had passed.  So I have no idea how much or how hard it was used.  Part No. 30-4037-1 FYI.  At the end of last year, the loco stopped working.  Or rather, it would start, sputter, and the the transformer circuit breaker would trip (MTH Z750).  So I put it up and decided to deal with it later.  Which is now.  The same thing is happening now, even on a test track.  The loco starts up, sounds are fine, light is fine, smoke is fine, track is clean, DCS is picking up the engine, all systems normal.  Then start it, and if it starts (doesn't always go without some help from me), it'll go about 5 feet and then trip the circuit breaker.  So I decided something was up with the loco itself so I opened her up.  I'm an engineer so I'm not afraid to take things apart but I'm a Civil Engineer and don't know the first thing about electronic motors.  Take a look at my attached video, let me know what you think - is the motor fried?  Second (probably more important) question - if it is, are there step-by-step instructions somewhere for disassembling the existing motor and swapping in a new one?  The parts are on order but I don't know how to remove the flywheel, screw, etc.  And as for soldering... I'm pretty terrible.  Thanks!
