P&D Blomberg Trucks - Dismantle/Paint | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Good Evening Group.

Has anyone dismantled these trucks to change wheel sets and if so how difficult is it? Also any tips for painting these - disassemble first? Primer first?

I've disassembled quite a few and it's not really difficult. Just take your time and be careful with the springs. As far as I'm concerned it's the only way to paint them properly. I also take them apart to install ball bearings and wipers.

Primer? Depends on the paint. If you use Scale Coat, then no. Lacquer, yes.
