can anyone advise which passenger cars look best running behind a lionmaster (T1) engine. I have a lionmaster T1 and want to buy some passenger cars for it, but am not sure how they will look behind the smaller T1. thanks

Tangoman,
I am a scale guy but I would think K-Line 15" passenger cars would look great behind the Lionmaster T1 engine. Either the Madison or the Streamline cars would work. Post a video once you assemble your train.

Mth Railking 15" passenger cars would look fine too.
They are also less expensive and easier to come by than the K Line, but the K Line cars are a bit nicer.
I believe Lionel made the Southwind passenger set to go with the tmcc lion master t1:

I have a Lionmaster T1 as well. I purchased the K-Line Aluminum 18" Pennsylvania Railroad Broadway Limited 6-Car Set to go with it. These are the smooth side cars and I think they look great behind the T1. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say.

I think any 15" or smaller cars will look fine. I have MTH 15" cars behind my old RK Hudson and it looks great. And that T-1 is about the same size as the RK Hudson if I remember correctly.
Scale is more on the order of 21". Given the selective compression of the Lionmaster, I agree with Chief Bob's 18" recommendation.
MTH RK cars looked great behind my scale Dreyfuss Hudson... I wouldn't regret getting more/another set.
15 inchers look great behind my Lionmasters.
I'm going to agree with Chief Bob and Gilly. I have some 15" passenger cars and they appear too short for my taste. But if your curves are not at least O54, the 18" passenger car won't appear well on smaller curves. Then your best choice would be the 15 inchers. When modeling O-gauge (approaching scale), it's all about compromise unless a huge space.
That's the beauty of the LionMaster T1. Most of the cars already suggested suit the cleverly compressed dimensions of a LionMaster. Plastic RailKing 15" cars push the limit, as their dimensions are slightly smaller in cross section than comparable aluminum 15 inchers from the other guys. MTH's 18" sets are so dirt cheap that upgrading to Premier wouldn't cost a lot, and they match the major players in cross section dimensions.
With the T1 at the helm, I select any number of 15 and 18 inch streamliners without concern of whether the T1 can handle it. Which one did you get? I'd jump at the chance for a Legacy equipped T1 LionMaster with whistle steam.

One of our members has a mixture of the long Heavyweight Williams cars and streamline cars as well. Looks good behind his Challenger. Another uses MTH Railking behind his. I use K-LINE Heavyweights, MTH Heavyweights or Williams streamline cars. Eventually my Williams will be replaced by Railking Passenger cars.
it is a tmcc t1. I had it back to ggg for a fix and addition of super-chugger. as usual he did a beautiful job it runs great.
I recently purchased a legacy t1, but it was defective. I offered to send it to George for a fix. buyer said no so I sent it back. he claimed there was nothing wrong with it. it was obvious he had not run it. shame, it was a beautiful engine.
There are so many that will work. I use a variety with mine and they all look fine.
With the Pennsylvania T1 I use Lionel 2500 series aluminum cars. Here's a video of my T1 with a few 2500 series sized cars, so you can see how they look together. I think they fit the T1 well...
With my A Class I like the look of the RailKing Army heavyweights. The RK heavyweights look the best to me with the LionMaster locos.
I even run Lionel 2400 series cars with the Cab-Forward and they look fine due to the short tender...
