So I bought some older MTH cars and need to add people. Which brand of people are the best MTH Railking (seems to be about 4 sets of 12) or the Golden Gate Depot package of 36. Obviously you get more for less with Golden Gate set. But which set is the nicest or does it not matter.

Funny, I just decided to do that tonight.  I have a "Bantam" Daylight set.  It really runs terrific.  Have a bunch of the Beep People, so going to start tomorrow.  Made arrangements with the local Dr., unfortunately I think some amputations are scheduled.  (May internally decorate and re-identify one of the stores on the layout as a shoe store.)

BTW, opening up the cars???  From what I figured out remove 2 screws from the bottom of the chassis, then twist each end of the cars to pop the roof off!  Sounds scarey to me.

Another option is the RailKing unpainted "people set".  These are the same figures used in the recent populated MTH passenger cars. They are close to 1/64th scale but are the best fit for MTH passenger cars and similar.

I am in the process of painting the RailKing set. Some ready to be "clothed" as shown. More photos coming.

Bigdodgetrain.

I had been looking at these. Has anybody had luck ordering these. I had some concern ordering direct from China. Last time I did something like that it took for ever to get the product and then it was not as advertised. At least this time it would be little plastic people and one could pay through paypal for CC protection.

I like your reply about the BEEPeople. I will have to see about buying some in January when my budget will allow for stuff like that.
