I have a brand new premiere ps2 triplex. I replaced the original 5v battery with a capicatator and it programs fine. I am running it on lionel tubular 072 track and switches. It will run ok for approximately 5 feet and will hesitate at different intervals ( and sometimes stop) with a little spark from the front and rear trucks and stalls out over every switch and has to be started up again. Can you please advise what is happening and how to fix.It is very frustrating as I am just starting to run my layout. Is it possible that when I replaced the battery that the front and rear drivers have to be synchronized and I put it back together wrong?

Your help is very appreciated, thank you, Jerry

Yes, it may help to have them quartered at a different interval, but did you reassemble correctly so no binding.  Wire routing ok so it is not rubbing on drive shafts.  Are pickup rollers and wheels clean, I know you say new.   Is harness plugged in fully.   No pinched wires under shell, easy to pinch the motor wires on the tender shell front post.   G

Thank you very much. I will check out per your reply. Is it possible you could send me your telephone number so I could talk to you about it? My number is 734-453-1809. I do have other questions on DCS as I am very new to it. Also, there are no service centers close to me so I might like to talk to you about other issues I have that may need fixing. I live in Ann Arbor Michigan. We go through Virginia to see our kids in Raleigh North Carolina. Gorgeous state

Thank you, Jerry
