It seems the selection wheel on my DCS remote is acting up.  At first I had a hard time after pressing the ENGINE button, I would scroll to one easily, but then when I tried to press the wheel to select it the button didn't register the press.  I would press many times and nothing until finally it performed the selection!  I thought maybe it couldn't communicate with the engine so I ran one around and got as low as five on the reading, but then realized if I press hard on the wheel it would work!

So has anyone else had this happen where the sensitivity of the button gets tough?  Should I open it up and clean it out?

As Dave said, I think some have had success with contact cleaning. Mine was doing that, took it apart and there was broken piece on the plastic bracket that holds the wheel in place. I ordered a new wheel from MTH. I ended up shimming it back up with a small, cut to fit, piece of wood so I could use it while waiting on the part. I still have the new part (unused) and the wood shim is still doing it's job in the remote. But now I have the part in case the wood or something else fails.
