Wow... what a compliment! Thanks, Oliver.

Current project is a complete rework of the “Geiling Chemical” plant...
the name is my wife's maiden name. Her parents are gone now,
but I loved them very much.

Thanks again!

Wahooo! Finally!
April 11, 2015... approx 1900 hours... the first test run [an 8-car coal train] crossed my new 12 ft bridge which completes a full continuous loop on the Ironbound Railroad. Now in addition to switching moves, I can RUN trains! When I get it all looking neat, I will post a video. Meanwhile, if anyone hasn’t already seen my YouTube videos of the layout as it was up till now, you will find them here:

Onward!

It's an around-3-walls layout located in my garage. Modeling this era brings me back to my early years which I treasure. It's not a literal model of the area... the Ironbound is a fictional line which acts as a terminal line for the CNJ and PRR in the highly industrial area between Newark and Manhattan. No fancy name trains here, just nitty-gritty heavy railroading in O scale. I hope you will visit and perhaps let us know what you think:
