About time,maybe next 42nd st river to river....take that mayor LaGuardia......
An absolutely idiotic idea and concept. A complete waste of taxpayer money. A line from nowhere to nowhere at low speeds. The perfect solution to which no known problem exists. What would work is a heritage trolley starting from Bowling Green (The Indian Museum) down to South Ferry, up the East River to the South Street Seaport and thence to Chinatown. Easy to construct. Hundreds of thousands of tourists. A win-win for everybody.
You hit the nail on that one...it's a great idea maybe restored PCC's...knowing it's a good idea is why the city won't do it....after all the impact studies are done they would have forgotten what the project was supposed to be...my 2 cents... been involved in NYC politics 32 years...
