Hi Guys,

I apologize, I just paid attention to the forum's topic guideline, and it's really designed for PS2 & 3, which is understandable, as they are the current systems. Nonetheless, I know someone will have the answer to this..................the K1 component (TQ2-5V) would this have anything to do with motor control signal? This board I've been playing with, would reboot when the direction was activated before. OK, I got around that (it doesn't reboot), now the board responds to direction, BUT only with sound, no actual power to the test motor. Yes, I verified the motor as a worker on a good pair of boards. Any thoughts regarding the K1 to contributing to this?

Thanks,

Joe

G, you're the BEST!!! As you mentioned, I did begin tracing the circuit, to map it out on paper. I found it easier once I removed the 2 relays. Besides mapping underneath, I shot some pictures to help as a refresher. Yes, the top board technology is first generation PS-2, with  much more surface mounted componets. I had tested the 2N 5084 (something like that), but I'm going to try setting my scope up and test it live.

As ALWAYS G, thanks for the guidance!!!

Joe
