i replaced the batteries in my Remote and performed a Remote reset. This morning the train responded to my remote throttle scrolling so I think I'm over that hump now. However I do have a few more questions:  (1) in scrolling through the menu I selected ADVANCED, INFO and received a "low battery" read out. I'm confused. i replaced the batteries in the Remote and I thought PS3 engines did not have a battery. Any idea what's happening here?  (2) PFA works as described in the manual, however on start-up no cab chatter, and actually, but for PFA I've not heard cab chatter.  i do get engine start-up sounds and at times, hear coaling activity, but that's it;  (3) here's the dumb question: I do not hear clickity-clack...the menu gives you a soft-key selection to turn it on which highlights "auto". So far so good.  What i don't understand is what to do next. Normally you push the thumbwheel to select. When I do that and then return to that menu 'auto' is no longer highlighted. So, instead of pushing the thumbwheel I selected 'auto' then hit the MENU key. when I return to that menu selection, 'auto' remains highlighted. However in either case, no clickety-clack.

I must be doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what.  Thanks for your help, this forum is truly an unbelievable resource.

"Clickity Clack" is activate after running for 30 seconds at 30smph or instantaneously at 31smph or above. That is, if it is in auto mode. It is possible that he accidentally turned it off. To turn it on again, press MENU/SOUND/CLICKITY CLACK/AUTO. After you have done that, the clickity clack sounds will sound after 30 seconds at 30smph or immediately at 31smph or higher.

Push it. After pushing  my remote tells me if it's on or off.
